Region & State Hluttaws approve formation of standing committees, appointment of ministers




AT yesterday’s meeting of Kachin State Hluttaw, Daw Aye Aye Maw as Chief Jus­tice of the State High Court, nominated by the President-elect, was approved without objections. The Hluttaw also approved seven ministries and state ministers, the Kachin State Advocate-General, the Auditor-General and State High Court Judges nominated by the State Chief Minister-elect and the formation of the standing committees of the State Hluttaw.


The Chin State Hluttaw Speaker sought approval for the appointment of state ministers at seven ministries with the discussions of four State Hluttaw rep­resentatives.


Yesterday’s Sagaing Region Hluttaw approved regional ministers at seven min­istries in addition to the Shan Ethnic Af­fairs Minister and the Chin Ethnic Affairs Minister sent by the President’s Office. The Hluttaw agreed on the appointment of U Hla Tun from the Nanyun Constituency 2 as Chair of the Naga Self-Administered Zone Leading Body and the formation of State Hluttaw standing committees.


The Taninthayi Region Hluttaw con­tinued its session with the formation of regional Hluttaw standing committees, the nomination of chair and members, re­sponsibilities, authority, rights and term.


The Mon State Hluttaw recorded the Mon State Chief Minister and individuals to be appointed as the state-level organi­zations and the formation of the standing committee.


The Deputy Speaker of the Rakhine State Hluttaw submitted the nomination of individuals for the standing committee to the Hluttaw. The Speaker of the Hlut­taw urged the Hluttaw representatives wishing to object to the nominations of the standing committees to register their names no later than 4 pm on 9 April.


The Yangon Region Hluttaw ap­proved the formation of 10 standing committees.


The Shan State Chief Minister-elect submitted the nomination of ethnic af­fairs ministers to the Shan State Hluttaw. Moreover, approvals were sought from the Shan State Hluttaw to form the Pa-O and Danu Self-Administered Zone Leading Bodies.


The Ayeyawady Region Hluttaw Speaker stated the formation of six stand­ing committees and their members, re­sponsibilities, authority, rights and terms with the approval of the Region Hluttaw. — IPRD/TTA
