Three Turtles crowned Myanmar Plaza Sepak Takraw Champions

 

THE Myanmar Plaza Sepak Takraw Challenge Cup final, or­ganized by the Myanmar Sepak Takraw Federation with the sup­port of Myanmar Plaza, was held at Myanmar Plaza on Kaba Aye Pagoda Road in Bahan Town­ship, Yangon Region, at 5 pm yesterday.

 

In the final, the Three Tur­tles Team played against the Shwe Kyun Thar Team. The Three Turtles Team defeated the Shwe Kyun Thar Team 2-0. The Three Turtles Team won first prize, the Shwe Kyun Thar Team took second place, while the USL Team and the YRG Team jointly secured third place.

 

After the competition, the award ceremony followed. The first-prize winners, the Three Turtles Team, received the My­anmar Plaza Sepak Takraw Chal­lenge Cup 2026 trophy. The team also received individual medals and a cash prize of K5 million. The Shwe Kyun Thar Team re­ceived individual medals and a cash prize of K3 million, while the USL Team and the YRG Team, who jointly won third place, were awarded individual medals and a cash prize of K1.5 million each.

 

“The ability to host such national-level competitions will greatly help us to succeed in in­ternational competitions. I be­lieve that the Myanmar Plaza Challenge Cup, which is current­ly being held, will greatly support our participation in the Sepak Takraw World Cup to be held in Malaysia from 16 to 23 May 2026,” said Vice-President U Aung My­int Myat of the Myanmar Sepak Takraw Federation. — MNA/ MKKS
