Tourism digital marketing basic online course opens in May




LED by the Union of Myanmar Travel Association’s Human Resources Development (UM­TA-HRD), the tourism digital marketing basic online course, which is designed to upgrade Myanmar’s tourism sector with the help of digital technology, will be opened in May, according to UMTA.


It will run online during the period that the country manages to save energy con­sumption, and the course will cover the use of Artificial Intel­ligence (AI) tools in influencer marketing. During the 10-day duration from 23 May to 1 June, the class will take three hours per day – two hours for theory and one hour for practical. The curriculum will include tourism marketing, marketing mix (7P), digital marketing situation anal­ysis and planning, AI in digital marketing, content marketing and content calendar writing, online booking and reservation systems, AI workflow, AI tools for tourism, social media mar­keting, email marketing and in­fluencer marketing strategies.

It will be led by master mentors who have more than 20 years of work experience in the Myanmar tourism industry. It is specifically designed for those who want to take a new step in the tourism industry and those who want to leverage their cur­rent business.
