Agri Dept invites firms seeking registration for rice exports to China



THE Department of Agricul­ture under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation invited companies wishing to apply for registra­tion to export rice and broken rice to China to submit an Ex­pression of Interest (EOI).

 

Companies seeking to ex­port rice and broken rice to Chi­na are required to verify com­pliance with the Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Protocol to seek registration for rice export to China, as stipulated under the bilateral plant health re­quirements agreement signed between Myanmar and China. New companies seeking regis­tration for rice export, excluding previously approved companies, can submit their EOI in both hard copy and soft copy in a Word file to the Department of Agriculture and to the Techni­cal Working Group of Myanmar Rice Federation by 30 June. Applications are available at the Plant Protection Division locat­ed on Bayintnaung Road, West Gyogon, Insein, Yangon, at 01 644214 and email at directorppd­doa@gmail.com or through the Technical Working Committee of the Myanmar Rice Feder­ation Office located on the 9th Floor, UMFCCI, Min Ye Kyaw Swa Road, Latha Township at 01 218266/68 and 01 2301128/29, or email admin@mrf.com. mm.
