Agri Dept invites firms seeking registration for rice exports to China
THE Department of Agriculture under the
Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation invited companies wishing to
apply for registration to export rice and broken rice to China to submit an Expression
of Interest (EOI).
Companies seeking to export rice and
broken rice to China are required to verify compliance with the Sanitary and
Phytosanitary (SPS) Protocol to seek registration for rice export to China, as
stipulated under the bilateral plant health requirements agreement signed
between Myanmar and China. New companies seeking registration for rice export,
excluding previously approved companies, can submit their EOI in both hard copy
and soft copy in a Word file to the Department of Agriculture and to the Technical
Working Group of Myanmar Rice Federation by 30 June. Applications are available
at the Plant Protection Division located on Bayintnaung Road, West Gyogon,
Insein, Yangon, at 01 644214 and email at directorppddoa@gmail.com or through
the Technical Working Committee of the Myanmar Rice Federation Office located
on the 9th
