Forest Department Cultivates 30,000 Saplings for Rainy Season in Nyaunglebin Township

The
Forest Department in Nyaunglebin Township, Bago Region, has cultivated 30,000
saplings for the 2026 rainy-season tree-planting campaign, aiming to conserve
the natural environment, improve the climate, preserve forest resources, and
help reduce local temperatures, according to U Kyaw Thet Paing Oo, head of the
Township Forest Department.
The
township’s forest nurseries have raised a total of 30,000 saplings, including
1,000 kantkaw, 2,500 khayee, 1,000 pyinkadoe, 23,000 manjangsha, and 1,500
mahogany trees.
The
saplings will be distributed free of charge to local residents, schools,
departmental offices, military units, and social organizations for pre-monsoon
and monsoon tree-planting activities.— Township IPRD
