Monsoon agricultural funds disbursed in Khayan Township

            An event to disburse monsoon agricultural funds to farmers in Khayan Township, Thanlyin District, Yangon Region was held at a hall of the Township General Administration Department on 14 May.

            At the event, the chairman of the township administration committee township administrator gave opening remarks. Then, the officials disbursed K 421.8 million to 213 farmers for 1,406 acres of monsoon paddy. Funds disbursement will continue for the remaining villages.

In the townhsip, there are 53 village-tracts with 110,639 acres to cultivate monsoon paddy. Myanma Agricultural Development Bank is planning to disburse K 24,000 million of funds for 80,000 acres of paddy cultivation at a rate of K 300,000 per acre. The disbrusement will continue by the end of September, according to the bank manager.
