Myanmar and Pakistan to boost friendly ties

VICE-PRESIDENT of the Re­public of the Union of Myan­mar Nan Ni Ni Aye received Mr Tariq Karim, Ambassador of Pakistan to Myanmar, at the hall of the President’s Office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday af­ternoon.

At the meeting, they cor­dially exchanged views on fur­ther strengthening of friendly relations between Myanmar and Pakistan, measures to de­velop education and women’s affairs, and cooperation in or­ganizing medical symposia, ex­changing experiences in med­ical treatment and conducting medical research.

Also, present at the meet­ing were Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs U Naing Min Kyaw and officials. Officials ac­companied the ambassador of Pakistan to Myanmar. — MNA/ TTA
