Myanmar, Pakistan to boost diplomatic relations, trade and investment



VICE-PRESIDENT of the Republic of the Un­ion of Myanmar, U Nyo Saw, received Mr Tariq Karim, Ambassador of Pakistan to My­anmar, at the hall of the Pres­ident’s Office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.


At the meeting, the Vice-President and the Paki­stani Ambassador emphasized the discussions to further ce­ment diplomatic relations and friendly ties between Myanmar and Pakistan.


They also held frank dis­cussions on plans to further enhance cooperation in the trade and investment sectors. In addition, they reviewed ongo­ing collaboration in human re­source development and efforts to boost the tourism industry.


Also, present at the meet­ing were Deputy Ministers U Khin Latt and U Ko Ko Kyaw, and officials. The Pakistani Ambassador to Myanmar was accompanied by officials. — MNA/TTA
