Myanmar wins bronze at International Roller Skating Championships 2026
MYANMAR national roller skating team won a bronze medal at the Jarkata International Roller Skating Championships 2026 held in Indonesia from 29 to 31 May, following an invitation from the Indonesian Skating Federation.
The medal came from the 10,000 metres relay team event, where Myanmar competed against Kazakhstan, India, Singapore and Indonesia in the preliminary stage, and later faced Kazakhstan and India in the final. The Myanmar team secured the third place to claim the bronze medal.
In other events on 29 May, Myanmar finished fourth in the 1,000 metres race and reached only the finalist stage in the 500 metres event, falling short of medals in both categories.
The competition featured athletes from 15 countries. The Myanmar team was led by coach-cum-athlete Ko Hein Zaw Thein, along with athletes Sit Paing Hmu and Zeyar Lin from Basic Education High School No 3 in Thakayta Township. — Bala/KZL
