U18 Inter-State & Region Football Tourney heats up
GROUP-STAGE matches of the 2026 Inter-State and Region Under-18 Men’s Football Tournament continued on 23 May at four venues across Myanmar, with strong support from football fans and departmental officials.
Matches were held at Zwegabin Stadium in Hpa-an, the State Stadium in Taunggyi, the Sports Garden Stadium in Bago, and Koethein Stadium in Pathein under a four-zone format.
In the day’s fixtures, Sagaing Region drew 1-1 with Rakhine State at Zwegabin Stadium, while the Chin State team defeated Magway Region 3-0 in Bago.
At Taunggyi State Stadium, Mon State secured a 2-1 victory over Taninthayi Region.
In addition, the Ayeyawady Region team defeated the Mandalay Region team 2-1 at Koethein Stadium in Pathein. — MNA/MKKS
