YR win Inter-Region & State Badminton Championship

The finals of the 2026 Inter-Region and State Badminton Championship were held at the National Badminton Court in Yangon on 15 May, with the Yangon Region team clinching the overall championship title.

Officials from regional government, the Department of Sports and Physical Education and the Myanmar Badminton Federation presented medals and cash prizes to winners of the men’s and women’s team events, singles events and best player awards.

Yangon Region secured the overall title with three gold medals, one silver medal and three bronze medals.

The tournament was held from 11 to 15 May with 235 athletes, coaches and officials participating. — Bala/KZL
