Defence Services Dy C-in-C meets officers, other ranks, families in Myeik

DEPUTY Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and Commander-in-Chief (Army) General Kyaw Swa Lin, met officers, other ranks and their families of Myeik garrison and Kyunsu station at the station halls separately yesterday.

Speaking on the occasion, the General said that members of the different units of Army, Navy and Air are all serving the nation with the spirit of brotherhood. Referring to political developments since 2021, he stated that while the Tatmadaw assumed the State responsibilities, some groups chose armed violence instead of political solutions, and therefore Tatmadaw has been cooperating with the Myanmar Police Force and peace-loving citizens to maintain State stability and security in accordance with the law.

He also noted that following the free and fair multiparty democratic general elections held in December 2025 and January 2026, a new government elected by the people emerged and was now accelerating national development efforts whereas the Tatmadaw continues to faithfully perform its duties under the leadership of the government.

He continued that Tatmadaw members must uphold and live in accordance with the Four Oaths and take pride in their duty of safeguarding the Three Main National Causes. They are responsible for protecting the nation’s sovereignty and valuable natural resources.
