Defence Services Dy C-in-C meets officers, other ranks, families in Mawlamyine




DEPUTY Command­er-in-Chief of Defence Services and Command­er-in-Chief (Army) Gener­al Kyaw Swa Lin delivered a speech in meeting with officers, other ranks and their families from Maw­lamyine Station of South- East Command yesterday morning.


During the visit, he emphasized the Tatmad­aw’s role in performing defence duties under the guidance of the govern­ment and combating ter­rorism, online fraud and illegal activities. He also called for stronger military capabilities, unity, effective leadership and continuous training to meet future challenges.


After the meeting, the General presented food­stuffs, books and journals for the Tatmadaw mem­bers and families to the Commander. Daw Nang Kue Ku, the wife of the General also presented cash awards for mater­nal and child welfare as­sociation to the wife of the Commander.


The General and par­ty also cordially greeted Tatmadaw members and families.


The General and party visited the local Tatmadaw Hospital in Mawlamyine, asked about the health conditions of injured Tatmadaw mem­bers in individuals, and presented cash awards and foodstuffs to them.


Daw Nang Kue Ku, the wife of the General comforted the patients at the Maternal and Child Care Ward and present­ed cash awards and food­stuffs to them.


The General and party also observed the regiments and units of the station and cordially greeted the Tatmadaw families. — MNA/KTZH
