Defence Services Dy C-in-C meets officers, other ranks, families in Mawlamyine
DEPUTY Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and Commander-in-Chief (Army) General Kyaw Swa Lin delivered a speech in meeting with officers, other ranks and their families from Mawlamyine Station of South- East Command yesterday morning.
During the visit, he emphasized the Tatmadaw’s role in performing defence duties under the guidance of the government and combating terrorism, online fraud and illegal activities. He also called for stronger military capabilities, unity, effective leadership and continuous training to meet future challenges.
After the meeting, the General presented foodstuffs, books and journals for the Tatmadaw members and families to the Commander. Daw Nang Kue Ku, the wife of the General also presented cash awards for maternal and child welfare association to the wife of the Commander.
The General and party also cordially greeted Tatmadaw members and families.
The General and party visited the local Tatmadaw Hospital in Mawlamyine, asked about the health conditions of injured Tatmadaw members in individuals, and presented cash awards and foodstuffs to them.
Daw Nang Kue Ku, the wife of the General comforted the patients at the Maternal and Child Care Ward and presented cash awards and foodstuffs to them.
The General and party also observed the regiments and units of the station and cordially greeted the Tatmadaw families. — MNA/KTZH
