FDA to launch mid-June food sampling for risk assessment

 

SAMPLE collection for food products will start in mid-June for risk as­sessment, said the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Department under the Ministry of Health.

 

In accordance with Directive 6/2025, the FDA has issued approvals for local food manufacturers which apply for setting up new businesses or extend­ing their current business licences. The food sampling procedure will be followed after the approval is issued. Through e-submission for local food manufacturers launched on 23 January 2026, the food sampling will be carried out in accord­ance with the risk-based inspection and certificate system SOP for local food manufacturing, starting from 15 June, the FDA said. — MT/ZS
