NSA holds talks with BIMSTEC SG on regional cooperation

NATIONAL Security Ad­viser and Union Minister for the Ministry of the President’s Office U Tin Aung San received BIM­STEC Secretary-Gener­al Mr Indra Mani Pandey yesterday morning at the reception hall of the Min­istry of the President’s Office.

During the meeting, the two sides openly ex­changed views on matters relating to food and ener­gy security among BIM­STEC member states, maritime security and joint training exercises, and the expansion of mul­ti-sectoral cooperation for development.

Officials from the Ministry of the President’s Office and the BIMSTEC Secretariat also attended the meeting. — MNA
