Paukkaung Township Completes Planting of 24,252 Acres of Rain-fed Sesame

Farmers in Paukkaung Township, Bago Region, are actively cultivating seasonal oilseed crops, with significant progress reported in rain-fed sesame production this year.
According to the Township Agriculture Department, a total of 39,164 acres of rain-fed sesame have been targeted for cultivation during the current growing season. As of June 25, farmers have successfully planted 24,252 acres.
Sesame cultivation in the township began in early May, and planting activities are continuing in line with the seasonal schedule.
To ensure successful crop establishment and achieve the targeted yield, officials from the Township Agriculture Department are conducting field visits and providing technical guidance to farmers.
