Cambodia's exports surge 19.5 pct to 17 bln USD in H1 2026
Cambodia's exports jumped 19.5 percent year-on-year to 17 billion U.S. dollars in the first half of 2026, according to a General Department of Customs and Excise report released Friday.
The report added that the country's imports surged 21.4 percent year-on-year to 19.7 billion dollars from January to June this year.
Penn Sovicheat, a secretary of state and spokesperson for Cambodian Ministry of Commerce, said the growth was driven by the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) alongside bilateral free trade agreements with other economies.
"These regional and bilateral trade pacts offer a strong foundation for exporting Cambodian goods with highly preferential tariffs," he told Xinhua.
