Collective Tree-Planting Event Held in Thongwa Township

The Township Department of Rural Development under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development held a collective tree-planting event this morning along the roadside in Spe Chaung Village, Thongwa Township, Thanlyin District, Yangon Region.

The event was attended by about 150 participants, including Chairman of the Township Management and Administration Committee U Myo Saung, officials from township-level departments, staff of the Township General Administration Department and the Department of Rural Development, as well as teachers and students.

During the event, participants planted a total of 400 saplings, comprising 25 mahogany, 25 malar luka, 100 seinpan and 250 manjangsha trees.— Si Thu Lin (IPRD)
