Demolitions continue at Shwe Kokko, KK Park in widening anti-fraud sweep

THE government con­tinues to carry out joint operations in the Shwe Kokko and KK Park ar­eas, where suspects are involved in telecom fraud and online gambling. Combined teams of se­curity personnel and ad­ministrative officials are conducting operations to enter the areas, demolish and remove illegal build­ings, and take further ac­tion in accordance with the law. One two-storey building was systemati­cally demolished yester­day.

 

Of the 77 illegal build­ings identified for demoli­tion, 57 will be demolished by machinery and 20 by controlled explosions.

 

Yesterday, one more two-storey building was demolished as part of the machinery-based demolition of the 57 build­ings. With 67 structures already demolished, 10 remain. — MNA/MKKS
