Farmers in Kamma Township Receive Monsoon Crop Loans

The Myanma Agricultural Development Bank (MADB) has begun disbursing 2026 Monsoon Crop Loans to farmers in Kamma Township, Thayet District, Magway Region, to support monsoon paddy cultivation.


On 24 July, the Kamma branch provided K61.5 million in loans to 94 farmers from Alatle village tract for 205 acres of paddy.


The branch plans to provide a total of K5 billion in loans to farmers across 42 village tracts in the township. Under the loan program, farmers receive K300,000 per acre for monsoon paddy and K250,000 per acre for other crops, including peanuts and sesame, according to U Aung Myint, manager of the Township Myanma Agricultural Bank. — Kyaw Zeya Win (Kamma)
