Hpakant Township Holds Rainy Season Tree-Planting Event

A rainy season tree-planting event was held in Hpakant Township, Kachin State, on 1 July.

Township Management and Administration Committee Chairman U Hla Myint and officials distributed saplings to departmental staff, ward and village administrators, and members of the Myanmar Women's Affairs Federation before the planting ceremony.

 

A total of 250 saplings, including teak, pyinkadoe, pyinma, sakawa and manjangsha, were planted at designated sites. In addition, 10,000 saplings of various species have been distributed across the township this year to support environmental conservation and greening efforts.—Township (IPRD)
