Magway offers natural fertilizer and EM bio-liquid production training
THE Department of Rural Development,
under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development, launched a training
session on producing natural fertilizer and effective microorganisms (EM)
bio-liquid yesterday in Yinthazi (West) Village, Magway Township. The training
aims to support the livelihoods of rural residents and enhance their
agricultural knowledge.
The opening ceremony began with an
address by Magway Region Hluttaw Speaker Dr Maung Maung Htay. U San Nyunt
Aung, Magway Region Minister for Electricity, Energy, Industry, and Road
Transport, then urged the trainees to study the fertilizer production
techniques systematically and to apply them effectively in practical
agricultural fields. Magway Region Department of Rural Development Head U Kyaw
Zaw Hein also explained the objectives of the training and observed the initial
training sessions. The three-day, free-of-charge training is attended by 20
participants from various villages within Magway Township. Expert trainers
will conduct both theoretical and practical lessons, covering topics such as
the benefits of natural farming, the functions and roles of beneficial
microorganisms, the positive impact of using natural fertilizers on the
ecosystem, and detailed techniques for producing natural fertilizers and EM
