Myanmar, DPRK to further strengthen friendly ties, cooperation



A delegation led by Yan­gon-based Ambassador of the Democratic Peo­ple’s Republic of Korea Mr Jong Ho Bom, who had completed his tour of duty, paid a courtesy call on President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Min Aung Hlaing at the Presidential Palace Reception Hall in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.


At the meeting, they discussed the good re­lations between the two countries, ways to en­hance the promotion of diplomatic relations, polit­ical progress in Myanmar, development of DPRK and plans, DPRK’s inter­national relations policies, and further strengthening of friendly ties and coop­eration between Myan­mar and DPRK.


After the meeting, the President and the DPRK Ambassador had doc­umentary photos taken together with attendees.


The meeting was also attended by Union Min­ister at the President’s Office U Khin Maung Yi, Union Minister for For­eign Affairs U Tin Maung Swe and officials. The DPRK Ambassador was accompanied by embassy officials. — MNA/TTA
