Myanmar, Nepal to deepen cooperation in religious affairs

UNION Minister for Reli­gious Affairs U Tin Oo Lwin received Mr Harishchan­dra Ghimire, Ambassador of Nepal to Myanmar, in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

They discussed reli­gious cooperation between Myanmar and Nepal, fu­ture plans for continued collaboration, the relief and assistance provided for the damage caused by the Mandalay earth­quake, the joint efforts by the two countries to repair the damaged stone inscriptions within the Maha Muni Buddha Im­age compound in Manda­lay, the completion of the restoration works, and the successful organization of the stone inscription reo­pening ceremony. — MNA/ KTZH
