Pinlaung Holds Award Ceremony for Outstanding Students in 2025-2026 Academic Year
Pinlaung, July 20
An award ceremony honoring students who achieved distinctions in the 2025-2026 matriculation examination was held at No. 1 Basic Education High School in Pinlaung Township, Pa-O Self-Administered Zone, Southern Shan State, at 10 a.m. today.
The ceremony began with a performance of the song “Youth Talent” by Grade-12 students. Township Education Officer U Tin Ngwe and School Headmistress Daw Khin Moe Phyu delivered opening remarks, followed by congratulatory messages from School Board of Trustee U Myint Lwin.
Outstanding students and their teachers were presented with honorary awards by education officials, the school headmistress, teachers, and school board members.
In the 2025-2026 academic year, 153 students from the school sat for the matriculation examination, with 91 passing at a rate of 59.48 percent. Among them, one student earned four distinctions, one earned three, two earned two, and 28 earned one distinction each.—Township IPRD
