Relief Supplies Provided to Strong-Wind Victims in Thongwa Township

A ceremony to provide relief supplies to households affected by strong winds was held yesterday at 12:00 pm at the Township General Administration Office Meeting Hall in Thongwa Township, Thanlyin District, Yangon Region.

At the ceremony, U Nay Lin Htun, Minister for Information, Relief and Religious Affairs, delivered the opening address. U Than Soe, Staff Officer of the Disaster Management Department, then briefed attendees on disaster-related matters.

Afterwards, U Nay Lin Htun and officials distributed cash assistance, rice, and rescue kit boxes containing 16 essential items to families affected by the strong winds in villages across the township. — Ko Kyaw (Thongwa)
