Returning frontline troops honoured in Hmawby, Mawlamyinegyun

FRONTLINE Tatmadaw members returning from security and regional stability operations were warmly welcomed at local military units in Yangon Region’s Hmawby Township and Ayeyawady Region’s Mawlamyinegyun Township yesterday.

The ceremonies were attended by Yangon Command Commander Brig- Gen Tin Min Latt and South-West Command Commander Brig-Gen Aung Kyaw Khine, respectively, alongside departmental officials, military officers and families, police and veteran organization members, artists, traditional dance troupes, teachers, students, and local communities.

Attendees greeted the returning troops – who served selflessly away from their families to safeguard national stability and the lives and property of citizens – with auspicious Eugenia sprigs, flower garlands, and lively musical and dance performances. During the events, the regional commanders delivered honorary speeches expressing gratitude for their service, with cash rewards also presented to the victorious soldiers in Hmawby. — MNA/ST
