Water pump house construction inspected in Chauk
RESPONSIBLE officials conducted an on-site inspection yesterday to monitor the progress of a water pump house construction project in Chaungtet Village, Chauk Township, Magway Region. The project is being executed by the Chauk Township Department of Rural Development using the Union Budget for the 2026-2027 financial year.
During the inspection, Daw May Thet Naing, Head of the Chauk District Department of Rural Development, along with engineering staff, company representatives, and village water supply committee members, assessed the construction site. The district head instructed all involved parties to complete the work on time and in accordance with the specified quality standards.
According to Daw May Thet Naing, the project involves constructing a water pump house measuring five feet by five feet by seven feet, installing a 10-kW power meter, and fitting a submersible pump. The project implementation was contracted to Zenith Creative Construction Co Ltd with a Union Budget allocation of K23.06 million for this financial year, starting in the fourth week of June 2026. Currently, implementation has reached 90 per cent completion, delivering a water output capacity of 2,500 gallons per hour. — Naw Lu (DRD)
