Workers’ Hospital (Htantabin) in Hlinethaya Prepares Hemodialysis Services for Insured Workers

TO provide cost-free and convenient medical care for insured workers in Yangon Region, preparations are underway to install three hemodialysis machines and water purification systems at the Workers’ Hospital (Htantabin) in Hlinethaya Township to treat insured patients suffering from chronic kidney disease. Union Minister for Labour U Khin Maung Soe inspected the ongoing installation arrangements and coordinated necessary requirements.

To enhance healthcare accessibility and effec­tiveness, medical services are currently delivered through workers’ hospitals, Social Security Board clinics, departmental clinics, and contracted clinics. Hemodialysis services for insured chronic kidney disease patients are actively operating at the Work­ers’ Hospital (Yangon), which uses four hemodialysis machines to perform an average of 130 sessions per month for 126 patients, and at the Workers’ Hospital (Mandalay), which provides an average of 101 sessions monthly for 14 patients.

The Social Security Board under the Ministry of Labour continues to implement insurance schemes in accordance with the 2012 Social Security Law. Its core mission focuses on delivering healthcare and financial benefits to insured workers, maintaining hospitals and clinics nationwide to provide essential medical treatments under the social security system. — MNA/ST
