Thongwa’s MSY village project loans disbursed
THE Department of Rural Development, under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development, held a ceremony to disburse revolving funds under the Mya Sein Yaung (MSY) Village Project in Thagara Village, Thongwa Township, on 19 September.
Thongwa Township Department of Rural Development Head Daw Hnin Nu Wai explained that the revolving funds were provided under the MSY Village Project with the objectives of creating employment opportunities and increasing family incomes for rural residents, as well as implementing village development activities with the increased revolving funds. Officials handed over K32.5 million in revolving funds to members of the project implementation groups.
Thagara Village is implementing family income-generating activities using K32.5 million from the MSY Village Project. Under the supervision of the township department, members of the project implementation groups disbursed the second round of revolving loans at low interest rates to a total of 91 members from the village, including 41 people engaged in agricultural activities and 50 in livestock breeding. — Cho Than Nyunt (Rural)
