Cash aids provided to storm victims in Paukkhaung Township

A ceremony to provide cash aids and relief items to storm victims in village-tracts in Paukkhaung Township, Pyay District, Bago Region was held at the Township General Administration Department.

The strong winds hit the township on May 1, 21 and 25 and it destroyed two houses. In addition, roofs of 44 houses were flipped over and a local resident was slightly injured due to the strong winds. 

Therefore, officials from the Township General Administration Department and District Department of Disaster Management provided cash aids and rescue kits with 17 items to the victims facing the house collapse and the injured person.
