Myanmar migrant workers sent back home from Thailand

A total of 164 Myanmar migrant workers including 114 men and 50 women who want to return back to their motherland were received by Myanmar authorities at the Myanmar-Thai Friendship Bridge-2 in Myawaddy Township, Kayin State on November 23.
The returnees were warmly welcomed by respective Myanmar authorities and provided necessary assistances to them.
The returnees who are from Bago Region, Tanintharyi Region and Mon State will be allowed to go back home after being placed under ten-day observation at Semyone quarantine centre in the town of Mawlamyine, Mon State.
In addition, the returnees who are from other regions and states will be allowed to go back home after being placed under ten-day observation at the designated quarantine centres in the Town of Myawaddy, Kayin State.
If they are free of COVID-19, they will be sent back to their respective places of residence.—District IPRD
