Myanmar to play Laos today in AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2022
December 30
The pre-match press conference
for the ASEAN Championship AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2022 Group B match
between the Myanmar national team and the Laos national team, which will be
held today at Thuwunna Stadium, was held at the press conference hall of the
Stadium yesterday.
Before the pre-match press
conference, the Match Coordinating Meeting was held, and officials from the
ASEAN Football Federation, officials from the Myanmar national team and the
Laos national team attended and discussed matters related to the competition.
After that, the press conference
continued, and Team Myanmar head coach Antoine Hey and defender David Htan, the
Laos team head coach Hans Michael Weiss and Laos team striker Billy attended it
and answered.
“After the match against
Singapore, some players, including the goalkeeper, have injury problems. In the
matches against Malaysia and Singapore, they did not get good results, but the
team played well. I am also satisfied with the efforts of the players. The best
plans for the future of the club have been drawn up.
“It should be seen that the
Myanmar team has improved in the past matches. We will play our best to win
against Laos. After the AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup, I will handle the team
properly.
“Experienced players and young
players will be used equally in other competitions, including the SEA Games,”
said Myanmar head coach Antoine Hey.
Next, Myanmar team defender David
Htan said, “We are best prepared for a good result against Laos. We will try to
achieve the best form of individual performance. Thank you to the audience for
always supporting me.”
The AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup
2022 tournament will be held at home. There are matches because they have to
play away. The Myanmar team will be fresher because they have had more rest
days than us. But as a team, we will show that we are getting better game by
game. The Myanmar team is good. We will have to play away, but we will prepare
the best,” said Laos head coach Hans Michael Weiss.
“Our players are tired, but we
will not give reasons. In the match against Myanmar, I will try to play for a
good result,” said Laos team striker Billy. — KZL
