Construction of rural road in Minbya Township completed 87%

With the aim of ensuring swift flow of commodity and saving time and money, a rural raod has been constructed in Minkatseik Village in Minbya Township, Rakhine State.
Officials from the Township Department of Rural Development looked into the progress of the construction work on 16 January and met with members of construction Company and instructed to meet the construction deadlines.
The rural road measuring 1.5 miles in length, 12 ft. in width and two ft. in volume and six box culverts on the road have been constructed by a tender winning company with Ks. 101 million allotted by the government since June 3 last year and now, all the projects have been completed 87 percent so far.
Once completed, it will benefit 1086 local people from 223 households in the village, according to an official from the Township Department of Rural Development.—Ko Than(DRD)
