Senior citizens received social pension in Ponnagyun Township

A ceremony to disburse social pension to senior citizens was held at the meeting room of general administration department in Ponnakyun Township, Rakhine State yesterday.

During the ceremony, chairman of the Township Administration Council U Maung San Win delivered a speech and clarified the purposes of the provision of social pension for elderly people.

Under this social pension program, 799 senior citizens who are eligible for social pension in the Township received Ks. 30000 each for the months of July, August and September in 2022-2023 FY.

The pension was accepted by relevant village administrators on behalf of senior citizens, according to the Township Administrator.—Ni Tun Aung(Township IPRD)
