Shan United sign Lin Htet Soe for MNL new season
Defending Champions of the Myanmar National League, Shan United signed Lin Htet Soe, a rising star from the Yangon Institute of Sports and Physical Education ahead of the Myanmar National League new season, the team’s statement said.
The young midfielder was born and raised in Toungoo and has been in Myanmar National League 1 since 2019 along with ISPE FC.
“He got selected as a primary player for the Myanmar National team to play in the current Mitsubishi cup. The 23-year-old, talented player who can play as a drop forward and attacking midfielder is coming to Champions Shan United team for new challenges,” Shan United team officials said.
Two times undefeated Myanmar National League Champions, Shan United will keep strengthening with new and talented players for the sake of defending the championship, officials added.
Upon his arrival, Lin Htet Soe said, “Shan United is playing in AFC Cup and has to defend the championship title. I want to be a part of this process and test how much I will be able to do. Let’s say, I want to challenge myself. I will try. I want to improve my current status in life. Step by step,” he added. —KZL
