Dinner held in honour of 76th Anniversary Shan State Day
An honorary dinner for the 76th Anniversary Shan State Day was held 7 February evening in Taunggyi in Shan State.
SAC members Daw Dwe Bu, Porel Aung Thein, Dr Kyaw Tun and U Shwe Kyein, Union ministers, the Shan State chief minister, state cabinet members, departmental officials, ethnic representatives, cultural troupes, excellent awardees and guests attended the commemorative dinner.
Speaking on the occasion, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye expressed that the 76th Anniversary Shan State Day was grandly convened and presented honorary awards to those who deserved. He called for continued efforts to ensure peace, stability and all-round development of Shan State.
To fulfil the needs of food, shelter and clothing for local ethnic people in Shan State, micro-, small- and medium-sized businesses (MSMEs) are under implementation, and the necessary support and assistance will be provided by the Shan State government, he added.
Afterwards, SAC members and attendees enjoyed dinner together and viewed the entertainment performed by ethnic traditional cultural troupes. A flower basket and cash awards were presented to members of cultural troupes. — MNA/TS
