Cash aids provided to storm victims in Chauk Township

Due to the strong winds and torrential rains in Chauk Township, Magway Region on 30 May, an uprooted tree destroyed a house, leaving injured and dead people. On 31 May, a ceremony to provide cash aids to the victims was held at the meeting hall of the Township General Administration Department.

At the event, officials from the District and Township Administration Council and Township Department of Disaster Management provided cash aids for purchasing rice and building materials. Then, the rest of family member was provided with K 300,000 for a deceased person and K 50,000 each was provided to six injured people.
