37 students aged five to 18 received first dose of COVID-19 vaccine in Shan Ywarthit Twsp.

As part of efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19, students aged five to 18 received their first and booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine at the B.E.P.S. in Ward-2 in Shanywarthit sub-Township, Hpa-an District of Kayin State this morning.

On the occasion, healthcare workers monitored the body temperatures and blood pressures of the students before administering the vaccine to them and watched them for 30 minutes after giving the vaccine in collaboration with teachers and parents of students.

During the vaccination campaign, 37 students received their first dose of COViD-19 while 14 students received their booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine. 

Medical worker continue to vaccinate the remaining students in wards and villages in the sub-Township. There are 25 basic education schools in Shanywarthit, out of them, 19 schools are opened.—Zing Lay(IPRD)
