Outstanding students honored in Zigon Township

A ceremony to honor students who were selected as all-around outstanding student (Luyeechun) for 2022-2023 Academic year was held at the meeting hall of Myoma B.E.H.S. in the Town of Zigon, Nattalin District of Bago Region this morning.

First, students from Myoma B.E.H.S. performed Pyinya Pankhin song. Next, Police Major Myint Kyaw delivered an opening speech on behalf of chairman of the Township Administration Council and then, the Township Education Officer Daw Khin Thein Yee gave words of congratulations to the students.

This was followed by the presentation of cash assistance and gifts to the students by officials. Afterwards, students spoke words of thanks and shared their experiences.

Maung Set Kaung San, Grade-9, Mah Htet Yee Mon, Grade-9 and Maung Aung Pyea Sone Grade-9 from Myoma B.E.H.S. were selected as all-around outstanding students (Luyeechun) for 2022-2023 Academic year in Zigon Township. The students paid a visit to Bagan Luyeechun Youth Camp and Taunggyi Luyeechun Youth Camp, and participated in educational seminar and literary knowledge seminar. Then, the students explored local businesses, local products, traditional custom and handicraft of local people. 

Member of the Township Administration Council Police Major Myint Kyaw, the Township Education Officer Daw Khin Thein Yee, headmistress, teachers, students and parents of students attended the events.—U Tint Swe(IPRD)
