Test transmission of natural gas to Newsprint Factory (Thabaung) in progress

Oo, Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win and officials inspected the
annual major maintenance of No 5 Fertilizer Factory (Kangyidaunt) under the
Myanma Petrochemical Enterprise (MPE) and the valve station along the
Nyaungdon-Thabaung natural gas pipeline in Ayeyawady Region completed by Myanma
Oil & Gas Enterprise (MOGE) yesterday.
First of all, the Union Minister
and the Chief Minister oversaw the valve station at the Nyaungdon-Thabaung natural
gas pipeline and provided the employees with a fruit basket and nutritious
foods.
Afterwards, they arrived at the
natural gas distribution station in Newsprint Factory (Thabaung) and paid
attention to the presentations of MOGE officials regarding the completion of
the pipeline repair works, gas distribution to Newsprint Factory (Thabaung),
and timely action to distribute natural gas before the rains.
Then, the Chief Minister
discussed the availability of raw materials for the resumption of the Newsprint
Factory (Thabaung). The Union Minister also instructed the restoration of
damaged farmlands to their original condition and the erecting of pipeline
posts.
Natural gas is being supplied to
the Newsprint Factory (Thabaung) on test from 9 June.
They visited the No 5 Fertilizer
Factory (Kangyidaunt). The Chief Minister said that if more fertilizers are
produced, the per-acre yield of crops will increase, which will bring more
benefits to the farmers. The Union Minister also urged responsible personnel to
