Union Information Minister inspects Mocha-hit departments under ministry in Sittway Tsp

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn inspected the rehabilitation processes being conducted at the Mocha-hit IPRD (Information and Public Relation of Department) office, MRTV retransmission station and sub-printing house (Sittway) in Sittway Township of Rakhine State yesterday.

 

First, the Union minister met officials of the township and district IPRD at the meeting hall of Sittway District IPRD and provided cash assistance.

 

Then, he visited the MRTV retransmission station and the in charge of the station reported on the losses and broadcasting programmes. He offered appropriate instructions after providing cash assistance to the staff.

 

Moreover, he inspected the collapse of a 100-metre self-supporting tower and the erection of a new 30-metre Guyed Tower in the station compound.

 

At the sub-printing house (Sittway), the officials explained working procedures to the Union minister.

 

The Union minister gave instructions and provided cash assistance to the staff.

 

During the visits, the Union minister expressed appreciation as there is no causality of staff of affiliated departments under the ministry in Sittway and no huge losses of department properties due to Mocha.

 

He also said the information about the rehabilitation processes should be announced in a timely manner. It should also conduct maintenance work as quickly as possible, manage to relocate the human and machines to safe locations and resume the work procedures as usual. — MNA/KTZH
