Education Ministry (A) clinches title in 2023 Inter-Ministry Universities’ Football Tournament

 





 Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council Depu­ty Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win watched the final match of the 2023 Inter-Ministry Uni­versities’ Football Tournament and awarded prizes to winning teams at the prize-giving ceremony at Wunna Theikdi Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw yes­terday afternoon.


First, the Vice-Senior Gen­eral and party watched the fi­nal match between Ministry of Education (A) and Ministry of Natural Resources and Envi­ronmental Conservation.


As it was the final match, both teams posed pressure on each other starting from the match through indomitable spirit. Finally, Ministry of Ed­ucation (A) clinched the title with a 6-1 win over the Minis­try of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation.


Then, SAC Member Dr Kyaw Tun presented the best goalkeeper award to Ministry of Education (A)’s goalkeep­er Saw Kyaw Khant Noh and SAC Member Dr Aung Kyaw Min, the best defender award to Khun Win Kyaw of Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation while the best mid­fielder award was given to Htet Myat Min of Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation by SAC Member Dr Hmu Thang, the best for­ward award to Ko Ko Lin of Ministry of Border Affairs by SAC Member U Maung Ko, the top scorer award to Zaw Zaw Htike of Ministry of Education (A) by SAC Member Mahn Nye­in Maung and the best player award of the tournament to Than Myat Soe of Ministry of Education (A) by SAC Member Poe Rei Aung Thein.


Then, SAC Members Lt- Gen Yar Pyae presented indi­vidual medals, prizes and cash awards to the third-prize-win­ning Ministry of Border Affairs while Admiral Tin Aung San to the second-prize-winning Min­istry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation and General Mya Tun Oo to the first-prize-winning Ministry of Education (A).


Then, Vice-Senior Gen­eral Soe Win presented K10 million cash award and the championship trophy to the first prize-winning Ministry of Education (A).


After the prize-awarding ceremony, the Vice-Senior Gen­eral and party cordially greeted the athletes.


The 2023 Inter-Ministry Universities’ Football Tourna­ment was launched with three groups consisting of 11 teams between 22 June and 4 July.— MNA/KTZH
