Sagaing District Forest Department holds tree-planting ceremony

The Forest Department of Sagaing District led a tree-plant­ing ceremony at Sagaing Univer­sity of Education on 3 July mark­ing the Myanmar Women’s Day.

The event was attended by 600 people including Sagaing District Administration Body Chairman U Khin Maung Sint and members, Rector of Sagaing University of Education Dr Daw Myat Myat Thaw and faculty members, students, district and township level departmental officials, members of Myanmar Women’s Affairs Federation and locals.

The district administration body chairman and the Rector of Sagaing University of Education handed over the saplings to the attendees.

They grew two-year old 1,000 neem saplings during the event and a total of 4,000 neem saplings have been planted on the campus of Sagaing University of Educa­tion this year. — MNA/KTZH
