Kachin State CM comforts displaced people of Nansamyang at RC Cathedral in Waingmaw

 


Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan comforted the locals who temporarily sheltered in RC Cathedral and Mongna AG Church in Waingmaw from Nansamyang region at RC Ca­thedral in Ward 12 of Waingmaw on 4 July.


The Chief Minister com­forted a total of 285 people of 69 households who fled to RC Ca­thedral from Nansamyang region and 53 people of 13 households who fled to AG Camp of Mongna village-tract.


He then provided rice, in­stant noodle and eggs for the displaced people and the town­ship administrator and township public health department head presented the mosquito nets treated with insecticide for the households.


Then, the Chief Minister met with farmers from Lapyaewun social welfare organization (Khakwan) office in Khakwan Village of Madain Village-tract. During the meeting, the Chief Minister stressed the efforts of township authorities for the ben­efits of farmers, improvement of social economic status and food security of the state, provision of agrochemicals, good seedlings and techniques, market condition and promotion of manufactur­ing sector based on agricultur­al produce. He also urged the local farmers to discuss frankly regarding the productivity of monsoon paddy, winter crops and sunflower cultivation following the monsoon paddy.


The local farmers also re­ported on the needs of agrochem­icals, manufacturing road, bridg­es, fertilizer and technology and other matters. The Chief Minister coordinated necessary measures.


The Chief Minister inspect­ed the manufacturing road, ir­rigation and drainage system, plantation of green manures, monsoon paddy seedlings and arrangements for irrigation wa­ter in Madein Village.


Similarly, the Chief Minis­ter also participated in collective cleanup activities of township municipal department and Pay Sat Thu social welfare organi­zation at Sein Mya Ayeyar park in Myitkyina on 5 July. — State IPRD/KTZH
