Fake news claims arrests at Nyaunglebin monastery
FALSE reports were circulated by malicious news
media claiming that around 100 displaced persons were arrested by security
forces at Nyaunglebin Village Monastery, Ngazun Township, Mandalay Region.
These fabricated stories were deliberately spread as
part of a misinformation campaign. According to a statement from a security
official, terrorists posing as local civilians have been carrying out violent
activities in villages and towns. In response, security forces have been
conducting patrols and necessary inspections to ensure public safety.
Displaced persons were assisted and supported by
authorities, contrary to the claims made by these media outlets. These
malicious media sources are intentionally spreading false and misleading
information about security forces to tarnish their image while covering up the
violent acts of terrorists. These deceptive reports aim to mislead the public
and serve the interests of terrorists. — MNA/KZL
