Drugs seized in some townships

Narcotic drugs seized in Pyinmana Township, Naypyidaw Union Territory and Yatsauk Township of Shan State, according to the Myanmar Police Force.

A combined team comprising members of Anti-Drug Police Force searched Aik Sam and Ma Su Su Htike along with a motorbike at the Bawgathiri Bus Station in Bawgathiri Ward in Pyinmana Township at 5:40 am on November 5 and seized 32,000 stimulant tablets and 1.1 kg of heroin.

In a similar incident, a combined team stopped and searched a TOYOTA HARRIER vehicle driven by Aye Chan Maung with Ma Nan Saing Mon on board in Bahtoo Ward in Yatsauk Township of Shan State at 10:00 am on November 4 and captured 610,000 stimulant tablets.

The offenders have been prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law. — MNA
