MoI Union Minister-led Myanmar delegation to attend China- Myanmar Culture Exchange Week, 4th Twin City Media Forum




THE Myanmar delegation, in­cluding personnel from six min­istries led by Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, will attend the opening cer­emony of the China-Myanmar Culture Exchange Week and the fourth Twin City Media Forum, which will be held in Kunming, Yunnan Province, from 11 to 15 November.


The delegation meeting was held yesterday in Nay Pyi Taw.


Speaking at the event, the Union minister said 48 mem­bers will join the China-Myan­mar Culture Exchange Week, which can strengthen bilateral relationships. All the members should keep in mind that they should show off the admirable Myanmar culture and promote bilateral relationships during the visit.


Moreover, the events aim to promote friendship and under­standing between people from the two countries, exchange cultures, and promote unique tourism. Cultural exchange can deepen communication between the people of the two coun­tries along with development. MRTV Director-General U Ye Naing then briefed the trip, and six ministries’ staff coordinated the discussion.


Personnel from the MRTV and the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture who will per­form at the China-Myanmar Cul­ture Exchange Week opening ceremony and the fourth Twin City Media Forum put forward their performances in full dress. The Union minister also inspect­ed Myanmar’s lacquerware and landscape photos to be dis­played at the fourth China-My­anmar Twin City Media Forum by the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development and the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism.


A total of 41 staff from the Ministry of Information, Min­istry of Religious Affairs and Culture, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, Minis­try of Cooperatives and Rural Development, Ministry of Pow­er and Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, and seven from media and organizations, totalling 48, will attend the events under the leadership of Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn.


The events will focus on 202 online New Media refresh­er courses, the creation of a China-Myanmar agriculture TV programme, cooperation in media and news 2025, classical literature translation into both languages by the China-Myan­mar international information and translation workshop, the introduction of China-Myan­mar tourism products and the signing of MoU on tourism co­operation. Moreover, cultural exchanges will include dance performances of Myanmar traditional dance and puppet troupes. Such activities can deepen the friendship and un­derstanding between the two governments and the people. — MNA/KTZH
