42nd Kason water pouring festival set for Shwedagon Pagoda
THE 42nd Kason water pouring festival
will be held on the full moon day of Kason, 1387 ME (11 May) at the Shwedagon
Pagoda, the Shwedagon Pagoda Board of Trustees stated.
The opening ceremony will
be held grandly in the northeast corner near Maha Bodhi Tree starting from 7
am, with the presence of monks, members of the trustee board, staff and
Buddhist religious teams.
The Shwedagon Pagoda Board of Trustees
notified that teams and staff will help pilgrims pour sacred water onto the
Bodhi banyan Tree, and devotees, monks and nuns are invited to participate in
the Kason Water Pouring Festival. — NN/KK
