Myanmar Muslim Aid to construct four temporary shelters for earthquake-affected people
MYANMAR Muslim Aid (MMAID) has reported
that it is constructing four temporary shelters for people affected by the
earthquake in Mandalay.
The temporary housing camps in
Aungmyaythazan Township are being constructed on a plot of land measuring 400
feet by 120 feet for Temporary Shelter 1, with approximately 80 houses and 25
latrines being built in each camp.
In addition, Temporary Shelter 2 will be
constructed near the ongoing construction of Temporary Shelter 1, with plans
underway to build Temporary Shelters 3 and 4, according to MMAID.
Local committees will screen and approve
families truly in need of housing to live in the temporary shelters.
Currently, approximately 60 workers are working tirelessly to construct the
shelters for those affected by the Mandalay earthquake, ensuring they can move
in as soon as possible. — ASH/TH
